As the nights get darker, what could be better than some Scottish history to keep us entertained?
Join the Scottish History Society for our new Winter Lecture Series. Our inaugural series focuses on ‘Finding Women in Scottish History’. We will explore some of the key sources of women’s lived experience, their intellectual and religious networks, and their socio-political power in medieval and early modern Scotland. Find out about the importance of letters, accounts and inventories, and kirk records with our expert speakers.
Each month, from October to December, scholars will share their recent research in an online lecture. Each lecture will last approximately 45 minutes, beginning at 17:30 (UK), with an informal Q&A to follow.
These events are free to attend, and recordings will be available on the Scottish History Society website. Please register for each event individually. For further information please email Dr Jade Scott, Secretary: secretary@scottishhistorysociety.com
